Fashion Finds

Lately I have been finding some really good deals and thought I would share them!

First of all, Gap is having a serious sale right now! An additional %40 off of sale items. SCORE! I picked up some clothes but was definitely most excited about the new shoes I picked up.

I picked up two pairs of the “favorite flip flops” in bright pink and periwinkle, which were on sale for $15 and then of course were an additional %40 off! Then I picked up a pair of these eye-lit balllet flats in nude which were on sale for $24 with an extra %40 off of that! I was pretty pleased!

Next, I went to store I hadn’t stepped foot in since high school, American Eagle. There were some super cute things on sale, however, I was most intrigued by the adorable jewelry! I picked up these XO earrings which came with two sets of X’s and two sets of O’s. I decided to mix and match and am currently wearing a pair! These would be super cute if you had double ear piercings in your ears!

American Eagle was having a sale on jewelry which was also %40 off at the time! 🙂

Recently, I also hit up H&M. Amazingly enough, I never really find anything I absolutely must have when I stop in. But this time the sale section of accessories was crazy! They were having buy 2 get 1 free, as well as just already ridiculously cheap prices. I have been loving pops of neon, so I decided to pick up this neon and faux diamond necklace.

Similar necklace found here.

Yesterday, one of my best friends came down for a girl’s day filled with shopping and pedicures. We hit up Ann Taylor Loft and were very pleased to see that their sunglasses were on sale 2 pairs for $25… considering one pair is usually $24, it’s practically buy one get one free! I do not by any means have a face for sunglasses… it’s rare that I find a pair I really like on myself. So when I do, I have to scoop them up! I was just happy to see such a great sale!

Lastly, recently I went to my friend’s bachelorette party and her sister had accidentally bought an iPhone 5 case for her iPhone 4s from J. Crew. She offered it to me and of course I couldn’t turn it down! A free iPhone case! I love this paisley print, and noticed last time I hit up J. Crew that it was on sale for about $10! Can’t beat that!

What are some of your favorite fashion finds for summer?

Fourth of July!

Have a happy and safe fourth! We celebrated by having our friend Tonya over for a BBQ and then finished up with some homemade icecream sandwiches for dessert! What did you do?

‘Merica, YEAH!

Long long ago…

We had some friends from Reno come visit us… and I realized the other day that I never put up pictures from their visit. While they were here we hit up the zoo, some breweries, and just had a good time.

Tammy and Padraic, our visitors.

Me, and Tristan if you look closely!

My handsome man.

So there you have it!

My weekend.

This weekend has been full of fun, good times with friends, and laughter. On Saturday my friend Tonya and I headed out to shop and see The Vow (not my first choice). While we were out and about our boys played call of duty and we met up with them later for a lovely dinner at the Venetian Theatre. Today I’m looking forward to relaxing and maybe doing some couponing (oh yeah, I said it). Here are some photos from my instagram of the weekend!

Did you have a good weekend?

This weeks twit pics/moving status.

So you thought I disappeared I’m sure…

Well you can’t get rid of me that easy!

On Monday I moved back to school, it’s a 6 hour drive. I left at like 7:30-8 ish and got here around 1:30. Good times…

The WHOLE ride I listened to my new favorite band of the moment, VersaEmerge. Seriously.

Then when I got here, I unpacked a little… talked a lot… and laughed tons.

It’s good to be back!

In case you don’t follow me on twitter (click the twitter button to the right if you want to!) here’s a twit pic I took of the rode while driving…I know, I know… bad girl! The road was just so bare, I literally could have roller bladed down it.

Check out that beautiful, long, straight, boring road.

Seriously… it looks like I’m somewhere in the mid-west.

NOPE, that’s Washington folks… barely.

This semester I only have class Tuesday/Thursday. Which is SUPER cool and nice. (Can you say 4 day weekends EVERY weekend?!) The only downside is pure boredom… I’m sure it will lessen when I actually start having homework/projects to work on… but it would be nice if I could find a part time job. Remember last years fiasco of me trying to find a job? It’s pretty impossible in this tiny town of 25,000 college students.

But my first day of classes yesterday were SO fun, it was great to see everyone from my major– love those girls!

I noticed though- I always do the exact same thing the first day of classes… I get the syllable and immediately the first thing I do is look at the final date. To see how much it sucks (i.e. Friday at 7 p.m. of finals week). Then I go though the schedule and highlight the things that are due and exams. Then after class, I go through my planner and write in on every single date throughout the semester when something is due, or when we have an exam. OCD much? Yeah, maybe. But it works for me!

Plus, I choose a highlight color that corresponds with that specific class, so I always know immediately which class I’m talking about when it says “observation due”.

So yeah… here’s a twit pic of my planner and notebook for this semester that I took in my soc class:

Seriously, I’m a huge fan of my new planner. I got her from Barnes and Noble… for like 7 bones! Which is kind of ridiculous cheap in my opinion, because I’ve bought the same planner for the past three years… THIS one, and it’s always around 16 bones! But hey, it’s a good one if you’re willing to dish the extra cash.

But this year I wanted a pretty one, and something new. I think this one sure did the trick!

Also, my friend Alyssa and I signed up for a “sunrise” spinning class that is at 6:15 a.m. every M, W, F! I’m super excited! I’ll have to let you know how it goes…

But as for now, my question to you is, what are your back to school OCD things you always do the same??

Moving back.

With the upcoming school year looming in the near future, I can’t help but feel a weird mixture of excited and sad. This is my last year of undergrad. And I can’t tell you for sure what I’ll be doing next year. Not having a plan is a foreign concept to me… up to this point in my life- I’ve always known what was next. But at this point, I just can’t predict what’s going to happen. Of course, I’m applying to some grad schools- but the idea of taking a year off is becoming more and more tempting. Especially with this senioritis I’ve seem to have caught. But I decided for this post that I wanted to make a list (because I love lists) of the things I love about going back to school and things I’m sad about when going back to school (6 hours away).

The Loves:

1. Buying school supplies. I love. love. love. LOVE school supplies. I’m not kidding. A fresh spiral notebook can make my entire day. Not to mention- organizing everything. I live for organizing.

2. Taking naps, and having free time. When I’m at school, I don’t have a job (although I probably should) so this leaves a lot of free time for “activities”, such as needed sleep, and homework time.

3. Friends! Majority of my friends are from WSU, which makes sense, since that’s where I spend 9 months out of the year. But since they go to WSU- most of them do not live near me when I’m home in the summer. So it’s always nice to go back and see everyone, and definitely catch up.

4. Going to class. Believe it or not- I actually enjoy attending class. I love my major, I love my professors, I love the people in my major, it’s like a little speech and hearing sciences family.

Things I’m not too fond of while being at school:

1. Being away from my family (mom, dad, sister/b-i-l, nephew, boyfriend, etc.)

2. Stress. I tend to over stress over the small things (and major things). And my blood pressure and likelihood of getting an ulcer are much higher while attending school.

3. The weather. Pullman’s weather is a freak show. I’ve literally experienced all four seasons in the span of 1 day and 6 miles. Plus, trekking to school in snow up to your knees isn’t exactly a cake walk.

4. Exams. I hate exams. But do you know what I hate more? Essays. Bleh.

So now my question to you is, what do you hate and love about school?

Soon I’ll be headed to southern California for a lovely vacation with the family!

I absolutely cannot wait. Here are some things I want to accomplish while on vacation.

1. Sleeping in.

(what is it about cats sleeping that is so dang cute? kills me…)

Since the BF and I have been the closest this summer (in miles) as we have ever been, we’ve been spending every weekend going back and forth to visit each other. I LOVE this, don’t get me wrong- but I definitely don’t catch up on sleep on the weekend.  While on vacation, I fully plan to sleep in until at least 9 a.m. each morning- provided Kingston lets me.

2. Reading! Reading! And more reading!

Remember that list of books I wanted to read this summer? Definitely haven’t read any of them! AND, I added two to the list! So I definitely plan on reading at least two over the span of the week.

3. Swimming!

I LOVE swimming. My mom has always called Sister and I water babies, because we never want to get out. I’m so excited to just spend time on the beach, playing with Kingsty, and of course doing some boogie-boarding.

4. Napping.

See #1.

5. Spending time with the family.

mama and papa beebs.

Sister, Trevor, and Kingston. (Photo stolen from Sister’s blog… but taken by me, so I guess it’s not really stealing.)

Because really, this is what it’s all about right?

Things I’m not looking forward to:

Not seeing the boyfriend for 7 extra days. But I guess sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do! 🙂

Are you going on vacation? If so, where are you going? And what are you excited to be doing?
