Coming home has been so much fun and we’ve been doing so much stuff. I gots me hair did. And have spent much time watching cheesy ABC Family Christmas movies like Holiday in Handcuffs.

I also have been holding the baby like it’s going out of style.

Lately in almost all of my classes we have begun talking about disorders that can cause either hearing impairments, speech disorders, or both.

This is my absolute favorite topic! I just find it fascinating. Honestly, it’s amazing so many children turn out completely okay with all of the risk factors and types of disorders out there!

Today we learned about Anencephaly. This is defined as absence of a large part of the brain and skull.

Basically, if this occurs within a child, the child will live up to two days after birth.

One would think because of this that a mother would be faced with the decision of having an abortion and would most likely follow through.

However, the percentage of mothers who carry their child full term is relatively high.

This got me thinking about how devastating it would be to carry a child full term only to have he or she for two days. I actually teared up over this too.

Imagine not only how attached you’d be and then forced to lose your child, but also all the preparations such as baby shower and decorating the nursery wouldn’t be completed.

So sad! And I can’t stop thinking about it.

I must go study now, and try to distract myself from this topic ASAP! Go hug and enjoy your healthy children!

Recently, my mom got me this neat jewelry organizer that I absolutely love. It’s just flat black and has a place to put rings as well as hang necklaces. Perfect for me.

Sadly, I hadn’t put this to much use, I guess I just felt like I was too busy to sit down and put jewelry on it or something. However, a couple days ago I got inspired to do it.

Here’s what it looks like, I’m pretty pleased:

I really suggest all of you ladies getting something like this… it makes wearing jewelry much more accessible and likely. Before I had my jewelry under my dresser in a fishing tackle box and rarely ever wore it or got it out.

I know how thrilling this must be to all of you… but once again, I’m going to update about school! Woo!

So lets start with where I’m at now. Remember when I was talking about possibilities for grades this semester?

Well… I think I’ll be getting three A’s and two B’s! This makes me feel so happppppy!

I will be going home Thursday for Thanksgiving break, and I’m SO excited because this week I only have one exam (on Wednesday) and that is IT.

WOO hoo.

Another fun thing about this week was it was registration! I love registering. I think it excites me because not only do I love thinking about the future, but I love the idea of a fresh start!

I’m so excited, I needed a “tier III” so that’s where the ANTH comes into play. Can’t wait!

Boyfriend had to register for me today due to my class schedule. I was so thankful he could. What a good boyfriend.

Now it’s time for me to study some Audiology while the night is still young.
