Pullman nights…

So it started snowing yesterday… and snow sucks.

But we had fun last night anyway, we went to Jessica’s house and made chicken fajitas, danced in the living room, and then eventually went to her friend Chaun’s house. It was pretty uneventful, but a good time anyhow.

Here are some photos from our fun:

And of course our signature.

That’s about it…we took  at least 1248327428397v more pictures and yes, that v at the end makes it ten times bigger.

haha jk.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

The love fern.

My adorable friend Brittany grew me a friendship plant. I love this girl, we’re totally friend soul mates. Here’s the pic of my plant:

Headbands, part deux.

Today, I decided to continue my headband crafting and here was some of the results:

headband5

I made this one for Tristan’s sister Ashlyn. I hope she likes it. :)

headband41

I made this clip next, and I think it just might be my favorite.

headband6

This one took me FO-eva, due to the fancy bead work (i.e. I’m no good at hand stitching)

And lastly…

The whole collection. :)

I’m pretty pleased, and just might be addicted, I feel like finding some random ribbon and buttons to use next time.

Adivina Quien?

So I’ve been admiring some headbands from louandlee for quite some time now, and decided to try my hand at making my own. I’ve always thought if I just bought some supplies and sat down for an hour, I might be able to accomplish something. Well tonight was the night, I went to sister’s house and did it. Here’s the results:

headband1

This one took me FOREVER. And it’s definitely not my favorite. Sister took the photo of me off of my phone, so that explains the poor photo quality.

headband2

This one took me two minutes.. tops. Mainly because instead of hand stitching, I used my machine. Notice the iron in the background and some of sister’s gorgeous fabric. And Molly to my right, also, I’m not trying to be “emo” in the photo. I just wanted to get a good photo of the headband.

headband3

This is the first one I made, and may be my favorite… I have 4 headbands left to create something, and tons of felt/ribbon/felt balls/buttons/etc left. So we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

BUT as we were searching through wal-mart for supplies we came across these two golden finds:

1)

lovely-purse

This LOVELY purse. (kidding) But it is seriously on display in 12312 different colors, like someone will purchase it. What could one fit in there? Their cell and some chapstick? Also, note the coug sweats and scarf, that’s wal-mart shopping on a Friday night at its finest.

2)

guess-who

Guess Who? in SPANISH! This was in the clearance aisle. And had it been cheaper than $15 it may have been in my posession now… all the names were Josue, Fernando, etc. It was pure fantastic-ness. I would make whoever I was playing say “Adivina Quien?” as oppose to “Guess Who?” But that’s just common sense. :)

So that’s how my Friday has unfolded. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I miss Holga.

These pictures make me want to do two things:

1) Play with my holga.

2) Go to the beach.

Number 2.

So I’ve made another apron. This one is for my mom’s birthday, which is the same day as Alyssa’s. :)

This is a terrible photo both in quality and set up… I didn’t have someone to hold it up… well I could have asked Jenni, but she seemed quite into millionaire matchmaker. Sooo I settled on the dresser.

Now I want to make one for myself.

Take notice:

I’ve added a new blogroll member. It’s titled rockstar diaries. I’m a little obsessed with their blog, which could be creepy, but I just look at it as being a fan. :)

So! Check them out!

I am very pleased.

Today I decided to make a birthday present for my girl Alyssa that I had been planning on. An apron! Seems simple enough, I didn’t exactly have a pattern, but I had an idea in my head. And here’s how it turned out:

apron1

I’m quite pleased with the way it came out… especially after the bumpy road I went down in construction… I really like the bottom felt ball things that dangle. How cute. :) They’re around the pocket too.

Love it. Who else wants an apron? :)

Oh and thank you to my photo helper, Jenni. We did this at her house, and she held it up for me while I took the photo.

Reason #1 to not do choir:

The hideous choir concert gowns.

I mean really. Are they necessary?

Tonight Alyssa and I attended a choir concert on campus for our Music 153 course. And let me just say, the whole time I was competely distracted by the concert gowns. I know this seems ridiculous. But no other piece of clothing has the magical abilities to make the skinniest, prettiest girl look like a shapeless cow. I swear, girls who have no extra fat whatsoever looked as though they had mountainous hills in the waist area.

And the way the try to “class” up the dresses. Adding sequins and velvet on top. It just won’t work. I don’t understand who came up with the idea to have these dresses be the standard for choir. Maybe I should wiki it? Hmmm well here are some examples of what I’m talking about just in case you were wondering:

One word: YUCK. Even these pretty girls can’t pull it off!
